Five years ago Frank Gatto and I partnered to form a new engineering company, Aspec Engineering Pty Ltd (ASPEC). Our vision was to have a company where everyone in the team enjoyed their work, made superior financial returns, had a work life balance and were committed to clients and colleagues. It’s been an exciting journey so far and we are proud of our achievements.

We have established ASPEC as a world leader in materials handling machines such as shiploaders and stacker reclaimers, and have worked on over 40 machines in this period. Our skill in engineering projects was recognised with the 2007 Bulk Materials Handling Award for innovative engineering for the CC4E Conveyor project at Gladstone. In our third area of structural Integrity we won the 2006 Bulk Materials Handling Award for best practice in OH&S.

ASPEC now has a team of over 30 people with offices in Brisbane, Mackay and Newcastle. In embarking on our next 5 years, we are very excited about the prospects before us to meet our clients needs in this dynamic marketplace.
